Texas Broadband Development Office (BDO)

As you know, Texas has been allocated $3.3 billion to bring last-mile connectivity to unserved and underserved households across the state. The BDO has been working diligently to plan for efficient use of this funding through the development of the Initial Proposal. The Initial Proposal was developed with comprehensive public engagement and feedback from local governments, community-based organizations, community anchor institutions, industry and residents lacking a reliable, affordable high-speed internet connection.

The public comment process is open to all Texans, and the BDO encourages residents, local governments, community-based organizations, potential subrecipients and others to provide their valuable feedback. If you have any comments or feedback that would inform the final version on the Initial Proposal, please provide that insight through the online form linked below. The BDO is accepting feedback until December 4, 2023

Your remarks will help shape the future of broadband connectivity in Texas. The final draft will be submitted to the federal government no later than December 27, 2023.
